Approve purchase of (2) replacement sanders in the amount of $34,834.70 for Public Works.
Brief Explanation of Need
The approved FY 2017/18 Public Works HURF budget includes the funding in heavy equipment to purchase (2) replacement sanders. Sanders are stainless steel attachments used to distribute product on snowy and icy roads. Three quotes were obtained and Norwood Equipment, Inc. was selected as the vendor with the lowest bid for both sanders. The total cost of the sanders is $34,834.70, and were budgeted at $38,300.00, under budget $3,465.30.
We respectfully request the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors approval to purchase (2) replacement sanders for Public Works in the amount of $34,834.70. The purchases will be made from Norwood Equipment and will be paid for from FY 2017/18 HURF budgeted funds.
