Brief Explanation of Need
The Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial Partnership is the designated organization for the selection and commissioning of a memorial to the 19 members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots who lost their lives on June 30, 2013, while battling the Yarnell Hill Fire. Facilities is requesting approval of a project to coordinate with the GMH Memorial Partnership to complete the site work needed on the Prescott Courthouse Plaza to enable the selected memorial to be placed on the site. The work will include site prep, installation of pavers and concrete curbing, and electrical work at an approximate cost of $20,000. In addition to approval of the project, we are requesting Board acceptance of ownership and perpetual maintenance of the monument.
