This addendum to the 2018-2019 City of Prescott IGA has two purposes. The first is to provide matching funds for an erosion condition along Senator Highway at the boundary with the County, just north of Juniper Heights. The section of road was transferred to the City in the last 5-10 years and serves County residents. An old stone and mortar headwall has collapsed and left a straight drop off behind the guard rail, risking the integrity of the road. The City has plans to replace the culvert in conjunction with a water main replacement project in 2019-2020, but asked if the County could partner on a repair project to protect the roadway in the interim. The quote they received from Fann Contracting through a job order contract is for $25,000.00 to $30,000.00. The addition of $15,000.00 to the IGA with the City would allow for the Flood Control District to split the cost of the repairs with the City and allow the road serving the County to remain.
The second part of the addendum it to include a tenth project to the list of potential projects for the initial $600,000.00, without adding additional funds. The new project is referred to as “Drainage Improvement Project, Bid Packet #1.” This bid packet includes three drainage improvement projects throughout the city, listed as, 1) Alarcon Alley, 2) Goldenrod Way Spillway, and 3) Divinity Drive. All three projects address existing drainage issues the City is improving.
