Development Services - Approve a Use Permit to allow for a private landing strip and an ornamental control tower on an approximate 20-acre parcel in a RCU-10A (Residential; Rural, 10-acre minimum lot size) zoning district, with the recommended stipulations; APN: 302-07-242C; H18051; Glen David. The subject property is located on the West side of State Route 89, off Flying Wrench Road in the Ashfork area. S21 T21N R02W G&SRB&M. (District 4 - Supervisor Brown)
Brief Explanation of Need
On January 3, 2019, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted on a motion for recommendation of approval of the Use Permit, HA# H18051. The vote was unanimous.

Should the Board decide to approve the Use Permit, H18051, the following conditions of approval might also be considered.
  1. Approval of a Use Permit to allow for the use of a dirt runway for the personal use of the property owner.
  2. The Use Permit shall be for private purposes only. No commercial activity or use shall be conducted from the premises.
  3. Property to be maintained in conformance with the permitted site plan and all the restrictions herein are subject to the ADOT Aeronautics and Federal Aviation Administration's rules, guidelines, and all other applicable local, state and federal regulations.
  4. Applicant to apply for grading and building permits within 3 months of Board approval, February 6, 2019, or Use Permit to become null and void.
  5. In the event the owner of the subject property files a claim under ARS 12-1134 regarding this Use Permit, this Use Permit shall be null and void.
