Action Requested
Community Health Services - Accept grant funding in the amount of $45,920.00 from the Arizona Department of Health Services for the enhancement of opioid bio-surveillance activities, establish a new fund number for the grant program, and authorize the Community Health Services Director to sign all related documents. 
Brief Explanation of Need
Per an amendment to the Emergency Preparedness Program, Community Health Services is ordered to: Enhance opioid bio-surveillance activities through the use of systems such as MEDSIS, syndromic surveillance, prescription drug monitoring program, death data, hospital discharge data, emergency medical services (EMS) data, poison control and other control and other data systems; and active participation in the Arizona BioSence Opioid Subgroup, including webinar attendance.

Yavapai County Board of Supervisors Resolution No. 1954 delegated authority to the Director of Community Health Services to authorize and sign, on behalf of the Board of Supervisors, contracts, Intergovernmental Agreements, amendments, memorandums of agreement and other documents related to the on-going operations of approved health services programs operating under the department of the Yavapai County Community Health Services.
