Action Requested
Board of Supervisors - Approve annual Fall and Spring Adoption Day Activities to be held at the Juvenile Justice Center, and authorize the County Administrator or Assistant County Administrator to sign vendor contracts associated with the event.
Brief Explanation of Need
The Juvenile Court has annual Fall and Spring Adoption Day celebrations at the Juvenile Justice Center and as part of the celebration has vendors on-site for family activities (bounce house, photo booths, food, etc.)  By having vendor contracts approved and signed by the County it adds the County to their liability insurance policy.   Funding of the vendors for the event is through the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program.

Approval of this agenda item will allow the courts to plan their annual Fall and Spring events and have the County Administrator or Assistant County Administrator review and sign vendor contracts on behalf of the County.   The next event is the Fall Adoption Day celebration on Saturday, November 17, 2018.
