Action Requested
Flood Control District - The Board of Supervisors will resolve into the Board of Directors of the Yavapai County Flood Control District, and following consideration of this item, will reconvene as the Board of Supervisors - Approve a Professional Services contract in the amount of $100,000.00 with JE Fuller Hydrology and Geomorphology, Inc. to identify neighborhoods in the county that are cutoff during storm events and to develop flood response plans for the neighborhoods in the most critical condition. YC Contract No. 2018-462 (All Districts)
Brief Explanation of Need

During rain events, several neighborhoods in the county are cut off from access and resources, due to their only access points being a low water crossing. The purpose of this project is to identify those neighborhoods and determine what needs those neighborhoods have during an event when they no longer have access to the rest of the county. The neighborhoods that are most critical during a storm event will be identified and a flood response plan will be developed so that resources can be made available for those communities, and a plan of action can be communicated with the citizens living in those locations.
